Graduation Information

Meet the Class of 2020:

Our senior awards ceremony will be streamed on May 22, 2020 at 7:00PM.  Our graduation ceremony will be streamed on May 28, 2020 at 6:00PM.  Links to these events will be made available on the Bangor Area School District Website. It is unfortunate that we are unable to honor our graduates with a traditional commencement ceremony at this time. We hope these virtual events will allow more immediate and extended family members to remotely gather together to honor the Class of 2020.  Please note that digital recordings will be made available for download after the events.

We are proud to announce our commencement speaker, film and television actor Kevin Smith, who starred in the movie Clerks and the television show Comic Book Men.

The District has partnered with Upper Mount Bethel Township to provide a fireworks display as a culminating event to celebrate our graduates.  Due to inclement weather, the event will be held on Saturday, May 30, at 9:00PM.  Our graduates and their families can drive to Upper Mount Bethel Park to view the display which will be choreographed to music. In this memorable way, we will be able to gather the Class of 2020 together on the night of their graduation to mark their significant transition from high school student to graduate.

People must stay in their cars due to social distancing guidelines. Because this is a school event, we are obligated to follow all directives set forth by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the Office of the Governor.

Our graduates have worked hard to reach this goal.  Congratulations to the Class of 2020!
