    Mrs. Cara McCormick

    Mrs. Cara McCormick

    Mrs. McCormick obtained her bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special Education from East Stroudsburg University in 2006 and began teaching second grade learning support in the East Stroudsburg Area School District. In 2007, she transferred to J. T. Lambert Intermediate and taught sixth and seventh grade learning support for twelve years. While teaching, Mrs. McCormick coached field hockey and completed her first master’s degree in Reading Education. In 2018, she completed her second master’s degree in Educational Leadership. Mrs. McCormick joined the Bangor Area School District team as the Assistant Principal at DeFranco Elementary School in 2019 and was split between DeFranco and Washington Elementary in 2020-2021. During the 2021-2022 school year, Mrs. McCormick became the Principal at Five Points Elementary. 

    When not at school, Mrs. McCormick enjoys spending time with her family. She continues to coach field hockey with the UMBT youth program and Marajoka Hockey Club. Here at Five Points, Mrs. McCormick is passionate about making your child’s kindergarten through second grade experience both positive and rewarding.

    Fun Fact: Mrs. McCormick is a former USA National Indoor Field Hockey team member.
