Currently, I live with my family in Pen Argyl.  However, I was born and raised in Stroudsburg.  I was blessed to have a close-knit family.  I shared my childhood with my sister, Suzanne, who is a fantastic sister and an even better friend.  As a freshman, I attended Blair Academy.  Life as a boarding student was very different, yet amazing, at the same time.  Following high school, I attended Bucknell University where I received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.  After college, I moved back to Stroudsburg and was fortunate to obtain a second grade teaching position within the Pocono Mountain School District.  Directly following college, I began to work on a Master’s Degree focusing on Educational Administration at East Stroudsburg University.  After completing this program, I served as an Assistant Principal for the Pocono Mountain School District for 7 years.  During this time, I married my husband Chris.  We also welcomed our beautiful daughter, Madeline, into the world.  In addition, I attended the University of Scranton to complete the requirements for the Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility within Pennsylvania.  In 2012, I had the opportunity to join the Bangor Area School District team as the principal of Five Points Elementary.  I have served in the role since and have loved every minute.  Since starting my time at Bangor, I earned a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Widener University and welcomed our second child, Dominic, into the world.  When not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family and dog, Lambeau.  Working and raising two young children is certainly busy, but I would not change it for anything!

Here at Five Points, I am extremely passionate about creating a nurturing educational environment for all students.  I am highly focused on ensuring all students master the literacy skills needed for longterm academic success.  I want to help make your child's kindergarten through second grade experience positive and rewarding!
